John Malkovich 2024 novemberében adott négy teltházas előadást a Zene Házában. A világsztár mindig is közelebb állónak érezte magához a színház világát, ezen a négy estén pedig intim közelségből láthattuk a szintén világhírű Anastasya Terenkova zongoraművész által életre keltett produkcióban.
A The Infamous Ramirez Hoffman előadás zene-irodalom-színház dialógja zongorára, hegedűre, bandoneónra, és a kortárs irodalom egyik óriása, a chilei Roberto Bolaño művére. A szöveg a kimagasló hatású, magyarul is népszerű író, Roberto Bolaño Nazi Literature in the Americas című könyvének utolsó fejezete, amely egy fasiszta költő-repülőgéppilóta-gyilkos történetét meséli el, miközben a kamaratrió sokan mások mellett Astor Piazzolla-, Antonio Vivaldi-, Max Richter-, Eric Satie-darabokat játszik. Persze Malkovich hangja a negyedik hangszer – amint megszólal, azonnal magával ragadó hatást fejt ki.

John Malkovich gave four sold-out performances at the Zene Háza in November 2024. The world star has always felt the world of theater closer to him, and on these four evenings we saw it from an intimate distance in the production brought to life by the also world-famous pianist Anastasya Terenkova.
The Infamous Ramirez Hoffman performance is a dialogue of music-literature-theater for piano, violin, bandoneon, and the work of one of the giants of contemporary literature, the Chilean Roberto Bolaño. The text is the final chapter of the book Nazi Literature in the Americas by the influential writer, also popular in Hungarian, Roberto Bolaño, which tells the story of a fascist poet-pilot-murderer, while the chamber trio plays pieces by Astor Piazzolla, Antonio Vivaldi, Max Richter, Eric Satie, among many others. Of course, Malkovich's voice is the fourth instrument - as soon as he speaks, it truly has a captivating effect.
