Concert at lunchtime! Lunch at a concert!

The House of Music's latest series – Lunchtime concerts – means you can enjoy short concerts by young talents at lunchtime. This series features music from students of the Academy of Music, and the 35-minute mini-concerts are complemented by a meal.

2022/11/24 - 2026/03/19

In the underground levels of the House of Music Hungary lies the Sound Dome. This is where the program begins, with a short film providing an unusual acoustic and visual experience, after which the visitors are shown an increasing number of similar films.

2022/04/06 - 2026/02/04

The crown jewel of the House of Music's Creative Sound Space, which opened in 2022, is an experimental organ that can truly be called a Hungarian treasure. Dániel Váczi developed the concept for the installation largely based on ideas that György Ligeti had already envisioned for the organ of the future in the 1960s.

2023/06/01 - 2026/02/26

One of the cornerstones of the House of Music is music education. Its goal is to make the joy of music accessible to as many people as possible.

2025/10/17 - 2026/04/24

Mini jazz festival at the House of Music on April 16-17! New jazz on the horizon – Two days of jazz at the House is primarily aimed at jazz fans, but we also cater to all music lovers in general, with two of the genre's contemporary heavyweights – the British trio Mammal Hands and the Brazilian Amaro Freitas – performing on consecutive days.

From spring 2023, we have expanded our offering at the Pop Culture Club Library with a new format: live music. There is hardly a corner of the House of Music where there has not been an instrumental performance, and our library has also passed this test, with memorable acoustic club concerts finding a home among the bookshelves.

2023/10/10 - 2026/03/26

The House of Music Hungary’s concert programme is divided into a number of series with different thematic tracks. The Landscapes and Their Music series presents the musical traditions of the various ethnographic regions of the Carpathian Basin with the participation of still-living village musicians and dancers, as well as important performers from the dance house movement. The series has so far addressed the regions of Gyimes (Mozsika and Gardon, 14 October 2022), the Uplands (Fonó Band, Eszter Pál, Muzicka (SK): On Upland Roads, 16 December 2022), Őrkő (Heveder, Géza Kóré, Rémusz Eötvös: ‘My soul, my brother Laji...’, 26 February 2023), the Mezőség lake district (I Look Towards Buza: Singers from a Mezőség Village Sing of the Lake District, 10 March 2023) and the Southlands (Balázs Csonka: The Music of the Diverse Southlands, 24 May 2023).

2022/10/14 - 2026/03/08
