Danubia Orchestra: A Rhyming Ball in the Orchestra
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Our performance is an interactive musical instrument presentation based on the work of Benjamin Britten, set to rhyme. How many different instruments are there in a large orchestra, and each one does something completely different... How do they harmonize, and how do the instruments differ from each other? Which ones can chirp, and which ones have a "steel-like, brutal" sound? Which large instruments are played by sensitive musicians, and what exactly does a conductor do? Our concert provides entertaining answers to these and many other questions, with host Máté Hámori presenting the orchestra's instruments and workshop secrets in rhyme. What's more, one lucky listener will have the chance to try their hand at conducting the orchestra.
Conductor and host: Máté Hámori
The concerts in our series are designed to highlight the diversity of music. Classical, jazz and popular music are all part of the series, so if you attend our events, you will soon see that music truly has a thousand faces. What is more, following the concerts, the performers provide an opportunity to get to know the instruments that were played during the performance and take a closer look at them. Put another way, taking part in a musical journey has never been easier.
