A Weekend with the Csíkszerda Choir: The Sacrafice of Queen Lili’uokalani
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Csíkszerda evokes the tragic fate of the last Hawaiian queen through choral improvisation and wonderful Oceanic songs. In defense of her country, she ultimately signs the annexation to the United States, thereby surely saving an entire culture. Behind the gentle songs and delicate harmonies lies an almost completely unknown song culture, whose evocation can very rarely be heard in choral performances in Hungary, so now it is time for them to lead their audience from the Philippines to Hawaii and from New Zealand to Tonga.
