Music Connects Us – Charity Concert of the Superar Music Foundation
Music Connects Us – Charity Concert of the Superar Music Foundation
The programme is held in Hungarian.
After the Main Stage of Budapest Park and the Sziget Festival, the Superar children's choir and guitar orchestra are returning to the Hungarian House of Music for the third time! Join the foundation's annual charity concert again and support that children can continue to receive the developmental, confidence-building, and community-building power of making music together and prove the positive effects of this in even more concerts!
In September 2019, our program started in Budapest with 60 students from 3 classes, creating opportunities for as many children as possible, regardless of background, to develop their individual and social competencies and unleash their talents through music learning using the free community music education tool.
Today, 7 years later, more than 400 children are making music with us in Budapest and Miskolc across 9 partner institutions!
We continuously observe that making music together (in our case, choir singing and guitar orchestra) not only provides a musical experience and knowledge but also builds a community where the better ones do not suppress but help those who are less skilled or struggling with inhibitions. Children's creativity, confidence, leadership skills, and persistence evolve, and they become better team workers, which helps them become more successful adults.
In addition to the expanding Superar choir and guitar orchestra over the past year, the charity concert will feature this year the first youth-led band of Superar, the Anonymous Rhythm.
At the concert, you can gain insight into how strong, supportive a community the Superar choir and guitar orchestra have matured into, and how motivated and purposefully working our young musicians are as they push their boundaries day by day.
The performers at the concert invite the audience on an exciting journey through a colorful repertoire, showcasing the unique spirit of the program and the connecting power of music.
Purchasing a ticket contributes to our continued reliable operation working with the power of music to create a more equal society, as all proceeds are dedicated to the children's free community music education.
Invest in the future of Superar and the children with the price of a ticket!
