pozvakowski | Nemeček (CRO) | Gyáva

Three bands, one night, all about loud guitars. What they have in common is that they play loud, noisy guitar music, each showcasing its many nuances, whether it's Pozvakowski, which started in 2000 and has its roots in Győr, Nemeček from Zagreb, which debuted with an album in 2021, or the Gyáva trio, which has been operating in a new lineup since 2022. Experimental journey, ethno-noise accompanied by tambura, atonal noise rock – together they are guaranteed to offer a memorable experience on this evening.

pozvakowski

Probably the loudest band in the country, self-willed noise rock, experimental journey, accompanied by unique visuals. A pile of 16mm projectors provide a constantly changing, ever-renewing visual spectacle, complementing Pozvakowski's soundscape, which oscillates between extremes of mood, from overflowing emotions to relentless noise. Over the past 25 years, they have presented every existing segment of experimental noise rock on six studio albums, and they are working on the next one with no intention of stopping.

Nemeček

Nemeček is a rock power trio consisting of Vedran Živković, Leo Beslać, and Borna Maksan, whose distinctive musical signature has been recognized and awarded with the Milan Mladenović Award 2024, one of the most prestigious honors on the regional music scene. Their music is a bold fusion of rock, krautrock, and Slavic symbolism, enriched with the magic of the Slavonian tambura and contemporary production.

With their latest album Prokletije II (Lack of Records, 2024), Nemeček continues to build an ambitious trilogy that began with their debut release. The album is conceived as a continuous musical whole, meant to be listened to in one breath as a kind of dystopian mosaic intertwining cosmic music, Pannonian psychedelic heritage, and the erosion of the spiritual landscapes of our time. A special dimension of the release comes from the fact that the vinyl edition features exclusive mixes and mastering, and was pressed at the legendary Pallas plant in Germany on 180-gram vinyl, underlining the band’s dedication to superior sound quality and the lasting value of the musical artifact.

After a rich concert year with over 30 performances across Croatia, the region, and Central Europe, Nemeček arrives in Budapest to bring their version of the Balkan Wall of Sound - a monumental and hypnotic experience that erases the boundaries between past and future.

Gyáva

In its early years, Gyáva operated as a studio band with varying lineups. Their strictly instrumental compositions, which can be classified mainly as psychedelic/kraut/post-rock, focused on improvisation and the mood of the moment. Some notable members/contributors who appeared in various lineups include Pablo Campos (KINZOisHERE), Domokos Vajda (Megtűrtek), and Gábor Varsás (Shum). At the end of 2022, the band reformed as a power trio with a new sound; psychedelic jams were replaced by short, focused, precisely crafted songs, this time with vocals, references to the previous era, and lyrics that were absurd yet poignant, worthy of their peculiar titles. With this new show, the band has performed successfully at numerous venues in the Budapest underground (Auróra, Gólya, Kripta, Riff, S8), played with SlutBomb from Cincinnati, and made it to the Under500 total art festival. Their latest album, Új objektivitás (New Objectivity), was released on March 9, 2025.
