Stage Call! - Laura Lackey Rhythm Revue

This programme is held in Hungarian.

As part of the Fringe program, launched in 2024 to support the mission of the House of Music Hungary – with a call for applications announced in three categories – we provide opportunities for emerging musicians and hobby bands at the beginning of their careers, as well as street musicians, music schools, and music creative workshops to perform at various locations in the House. In the Step onto the Stage! series, talented, up-and-coming musicians and hobby music formations (bands, vocal ensembles, mixed formations, etc.) at the start of their careers perform, who have so far had little chance to present themselves to a wider audience. This time, Laura Lackey Rhythm Revue will give a concert on the Outdoor Stage.

Hot jazz, swing, blues, gospel, Americana, and whatever else comes up. Laura Lackey is a singer/songwriter who has moved from the United States to Hungary. She plays always new and exciting programs with a loosely organized musical free company around her, whose size and lineup are constantly changing. During the concert, mostly well-known swing and jazz hits, old country songs, and her own compositions will be performed.

Dear Visitor, We kindly inform you that during the event, photographs, audio recordings, and/or video recordings may be taken. By attending the event, you consent to the recording of such materials through your implied conduct.

In support of the House of Music's mission, we have launched the Fringe programme - a call for applications in three categories - for music schools and their students, hobby musicians and street musicians to perform at various venues in the House. The Up on Stage! series features talented beginner and amateur musicians who have had little opportunity to perform on a wider stage.
