Freddie – the Exhibition Curatorial Guided Tour
This programme is held in Hungarian.
The temporary exhibition titled Freddie pays tribute to one of the greatest rock stars of all time, Freddie Mercury. The artist, who would have turned 80 this year, gave a legendary stadium concert in Hungary with his band, Queen, forty years ago; it was the first massive rock event held behind the Iron Curtain by a Western star band. This double anniversary lends special relevance to the joint exhibition of World of Freddie, which preserves the memory of the global star, and the House of Music. Through several hundred original personal objects and stories, and with the help of experience-based installations, it reveals the lesser-known, human side of Freddie Mercury. At the related guided tours, the curators of the exhibition and his close collaborators – alternately Gábor Szilágyi, Endre Vazul Mándli, Márton Horn, and Melinda Erdőháti – will introduce visitors to the secrets of the exhibition. Behind-the-scenes stories about how certain spaces of the exhibition were created, exciting details about Freddie’s personal belongings, and insights into the professional work behind the scenes.
The language of the guided tour is Hungarian, and the ticket price also includes admission to the exhibition.
