Hats Off! – Bálint Dankó
In support of the mission of the House of Music Hungary, as part of the Fringe program launched in 2024 – for which we issue a call in three categories every year – we provide an opportunity for emerging musicians and hobby bands at the beginning of their careers, as well as street musicians, music schools and musical creative workshops to perform at various locations in the House. Hats Off! is our most informal series, in which we fill the outer surroundings of the House of Music, the Városliget park, with street musicians and the music they play. This time Bálint Dankó will be playing around the House and at the Music Garden (ZeneKert).
Bálint Dankó comes from the world of folk music, then opened up toward classical music as well. His current style was born from the fusion of these two directions. He performs his own compositions and folk song adaptations, spiced with improvisations, on electric violin. He builds up the pieces in several parts while playing, using a looper pedal in addition to his instrument.
Dear Visitor, We kindly inform you that during the event, photographs, audio recordings, and/or video recordings may be taken. By attending the event, you consent to the recording of such materials through your implied conduct.
Covered Open-air Stage concerts
The program will be held even in rainy weather, as the Open-air Stage is largely covered.
