Stage Call! – Szapora Banda
Stage Call! – Szapora Banda
This programme is held in Hungarian.
Szapora Banda was formed in the summer of 2024 with the aim of bringing beautiful and catchy melodies to the general public and making people fall in love with authentic Hungarian folk music. The band currently consists of six members. All of them are interested in Hungarian folk music, learning it within an institutional framework with the help of teachers, but also expanding their knowledge through self-study and participation in folk music courses. Their band's interests cover many regions of Hungarian folk music, including music from Little Hungary, Transylvania, and Upper Hungary. These regions can also be found in their ever-expanding repertoire.
Covered Open-air Stage concerts
The program will be held even in rainy weather, as the Open-air Stage is largely covered.
In support of the House of Music's mission, we have launched the Fringe programme - a call for applications in three categories - for music schools and their students, hobby musicians and street musicians to perform at various venues in the House. The Up on Stage! series features talented beginner and amateur musicians who have had little opportunity to perform on a wider stage.
