Tudósok 40!
Jazz
Szervezés:
The Tudósok celebrated the 40th anniversary of their research throughout 2026 with numerous concerts in the capital and the countryside, multidisciplinary events, exhibitions, performances and live art. At the final stop, they will give their tour- and season-closing performance at the House of Music Hungary—a new version of their sold-out show at A38 Ship, with even more videos, refreshed visuals and surprise songs, bringing the celebrations to a fitting close for the delight of their esteemed audience of scholars.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. in the lobby, where the Tudósok Club opens. There, as if in a boudoir, visitors can see and touch their art up close.
Visitors can view an exhibition of photographs of Tudósok by photographer Doron Ritter, see old Tudósok posters—now considered historical—along with albums, CDs, publications and videos, as well as prints and albums by drMáriás. They can also ask questions, seek advice and get autographs from members of Tudósok.
From 8 p.m. in the main hall, drMáriás will deliver his year-in-review, titled I’m an Eastern European Zombie, Worried About Western Europeans, accompanied by live music from composer Ambrus Tövisházi, one of Tudósok’s most important former members. He will present his latest paintings and offer poetic commentary.
At 8:40 p.m., the audience can enjoy the video festival-conference titled From the Black Hole to AI and Back, hosted by Imre Para-Kovács and Olivér Lehel, who will also present a new adaptation of Bada Dada’s legendary masterpiece Dad’s Driving the Car.
At 9:15 p.m., the song selection You See begins, featuring songs that haven’t been played in twenty years as well as brand-new numbers. In a grand concert, Tudósok will present 20 pieces spanning 40 years of work, suffering and joy, downfall and resurrection—in music, words and projections—at a large-scale, liberating celebration of communal joy.
