During the workshop—or, as they call it, a playground—Góbi Rita and Frauke Aulbert invite participants to experience the relationship between dance, voice, and body through direct physical experiences. The starting point is the body as a resonant space: they explore breathing, movement, voice, and touch as interconnected processes.
Through guided improvisations, simple movement and vocal exercises, and sensory experiments, participants explore the sounds generated by movement, the movements shaped by sound, and inner states made audible and visible. The emphasis is not on technical perfection or drawing on prior knowledge, but on being present in the body, curiosity, and engaging with one’s individual experience.
The session offers a direct insight into the artistic questions explored in the January 14 performance Frauke Aulbert (GER) and Góbi Rita: EchoSkin, and makes the performance’s aesthetic foundations tangible through practice. At the same time, it provides the artists with a space for free experimentation—an opportunity to try out material they have already developed, draw on new sources, and find fresh inspiration for their work in progress.
