At the concerts of the Gabriella Berkes - Róbert Rátonyi duet, elegant music is performed in a sophisticated piano-vocal duo format. The pair brings Broadway musicals, jazz evergreens, film hits and pop classics to the stage, with which they conjure sparkle and charm onstage.
Over the course of her exciting career, Gabriella Berkes has appeared in 36 films, and in 1988 she won the “A Star Is Born” song contest. Throughout her career she has made numerous recordings with popular Hungarian pop bands, performers and songwriters. In addition, both at home and abroad she has sung the greatest roles of the musical and operetta repertoire. After returning home, she has become a popular contributor on platforms and stages. She has released numerous pop albums, including a special one (Musical With A Touch Of Jazz/Once Upon A Dream) with György Vukán. She is the recipient of four Gold Records.
Róbert Rátonyi is a major, two-time Artisjus Award-winning jazz pianist, arranger and composer. Since 1975 he has played with virtually all leading jazz musicians and numerous world stars at home and at international jazz festivals. He has guest-starred abroad on concert stages in countless different productions. He has composed and arranged innumerable pieces for television, film, theatre and jazz (including more than 400 television productions).
