Advent, the four-week period encompassing the four Sundays before Christmas, is a time of waiting. The days are already very short and growing shorter, while the nights, which are getting longer still, invite us to quiet reflection and contemplation. In our hearts, we prepare for the turning point when darkness will slowly begin to give way to ever more light. It is good to be together during this season of waiting. That is why we invite everyone to join us on each Advent Sunday. For each occasion, we have invited a choir from a different city, so that by listening to them and singing alongside them, we can prepare together for the celebration of Christmas.
On the second Sunday of Advent, the Ferenc Liszt Choir Society of Veszprém and its partner ensembles, the Búzavirág Children’s Choir and the Malom Youth Choir, will visit us to sing a few pieces from their repertoire. Then, after they teach us a few songs, we will sing together in the glow of the second Advent candle.
