In our series launched under the title Boundless Rhythm, we would like to show how diverse the world of drums and percussion instruments is, and that by using only these instruments it is possible to create fully-fledged music. At the fourth event of the Boundless Rhythm series, Ben Aylon, known for his innovative approach to Senegalese drumming, will present an utterly captivating production. Moreover, on the day before the concert, on Wednesday, 2 December from 6:00 p.m. in the Auditorium, the percussion virtuoso-producer will also hold a free workshop, for which you can register with an Aylan concert ticket – and which we are not only recommending to professionals. This is how the Israeli musician introduces the event: “Participants can bring any kind of drum; no specific type is required. I will teach basic Senegalese rhythms, which we can then all play together.”
A maximum of 30 people can take part in the workshop. Those registering for the workshop must bring their percussion instrument with them; if this is not possible, please indicate this during registration, and the House of Music will provide an instrument.
The concert is realized with the contribution of the Embassy of Israel in Hungary, the MERKAZ – Hebrew and Israeli Cultural Center, and the Jewish Agency for Israel.

Ben Aylon is a percussion virtuoso and producer known for his innovative approach to Senegalese drumming. Over the past fifteen years, under the mentorship of legendary drummers Doudou Ndiaye Rose and Aly Ndiaye Rose, he has developed his own style, which elevates traditional Senegalese drum music to a new level with modern performance techniques.
House of Music has launched a new series entitled Boundless Rhythm, in which we aim to show how diverse the world of drums and percussion instruments is, and that it is possible to create complete music using only these instruments.
