Between November 12 and 13, 2026, the House of Music will also join the National Cartoon Festival, the country’s largest animation film event, taking place at hundreds of venues across Hungary.
Admission to the immersive, 360-degree animated screenings in the Sound Dome is free, but advance registration is required due to limited capacity.
A tribute to classic Hungarian animation through unconventional reworkings of three short films:
Regölés (Hegyi Füstös László, 1978)
Flower of the World, World of the Flower (Keresztes Dóra, 2017)
Green Admonitions for Every Day (Reisenbüchler Sándor and co-creators, 1992)
These films, made by Pannónia Film Studio and Kecskemét Animation Film Studio, bring Hungarian folk traditions and beliefs, and the relationship between people and nature, to life.
The Sound Dome’s unique technology allows audiences not only to see the world of these works, but to experience it. Word images flicker to life as morphing animations across the projected sky, while a whirl of music envelops the audience.
A spiritual experience, a visual journey, and an invitation to reflect on environmental awareness—all at once.
The film was made with the support of the National Film Institute and the House of Music Hungary.
Warning regarding the risk of photosensitive seizures:
A small percentage of people may experience seizures when exposed to certain visual images, including the flashing lights and patterns featured in the program.
Duration: 20 minutes
Age recommendation:
We recommend the screening for ages 8 and up.
The screening is in Hungarian.
