Advent, the four-Sunday period leading up to Christmas, is a time of waiting. The days are already very short and growing shorter still, while the ever-lengthening nights invite us to quiet reflection and contemplation. In our hearts, we prepare for the turning point when darkness will slowly begin to make way for more and more light. It is good to be together during this season of waiting. That is why we invite everyone to join us each Advent Sunday. We have invited a choir from a different town for each occasion, so that as we listen to them and sing alongside them, we can prepare together for the celebration of Christmas.
On the first Sunday of Advent, the Vox Mirabilis choir will visit us from Székesfehérvár to sing a few songs from their repertoire. Then, after teaching us a few songs, they will join us in singing by the light of the first Advent candle.
