The DOME_RELOAD program this year debuts two new films: the Partita for 8 voices and Continuum. Both works are dome films by the Canadian Hubblo. The Partita for 8 Voices is a captivating visual and sonic experience that transports the viewer to the center of the work of Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Caroline Shaw.
The Partita for 8 Voices is a captivating visual and sonic experience that carries the viewer into the heart of the eponymous musical piece composed by Pulitzer Prize–winner Caroline Shaw. Using state-of-the-art immersive technologies, this unique film experience places the audience among the eight singers of Roomful of Teeth. The visual world was inspired by the series Sol LeWitt Wall Drawings (Wall Drawings). It is an artistic collaboration between the most ancient form of self-expression – the human voice – and the art of graphic animation.
In the underground levels of the House of Music Hungary lies the Sound Dome. This is where the program begins, with a short film providing an unusual acoustic and visual experience, after which the visitors are shown an increasing number of similar films.
