Music Edutainment Showcase, or MESH. This is the essence of these two days: we aim to present as many good practices as possible on how music can be shared as an experience with the wider public - especially children.
It is also important to note that this is an opportunity to connect: through music, and thus with each other. In this spirit, we invited Matt Robinson, head of the Paper Lantern Collective (Chemnitz, Germany), former leader of the community music programme in Konzerthaus Dortmund.
Matt is an internationally renowned and innovative community musician with over 15 years of experience in designing participatory, democratic music projects. As managing director and community musician of the PAPER LANTERN COLLECTIVE, he leads creative initiatives that connect communities, promote cultural participation and achieve sustainable social impact. With his passion for participatory music projects and his extensive international experience, Matt designs sustainable programmes that inspire people and communities worldwide.
In this workshop, he demonstrates how it is possible for complete strangers, after 60 minutes, to make and enjoy music together.
The workshop is held in English and we recommend it for 6-10 years old children and their parents.
