Tamás Érdi Piano Recital
Tamás Érdi Piano Recital
This programme is held in Hungarian.
We are delighted to welcome pianist Tamás Érdi back to the House of Music as part of our Piano Tuning series. Nearly three and a half years ago, he gave a sold-out concert here. On that occasion, we heard one of Schubert's last sonatas, and this time he will also perform compositions by some of the greatest geniuses in music history: Claude Debussy's short but meaningful character piece, L'isle joyeuse, and his Bergamasque Suite, which includes the extremely popular Clair de lune, followed by two Hungarian masterpieces – Béla Bartók's Improvisations and Zoltán Kodály's Dances of Marosszék – will be performed at the concert, which is open to anyone who longs for truly refined, sensitive and profound piano playing.
The concerts of our Tuned to Piano program series can easily captivate those who are still far from the world of romantic piano literature, while they also hold new experiences for those who come to the House of Music Hungary as black-belt classical music fans.
