Sound/man #5 - Csaknekedkétsrác: Csepella Olivér, Konsiczky Dávid
The “Hang/ember” is a special conversation-and-music series where well-known musicians, as storytellers, share their personal experiences and creative secrets. It is a unique experience that creates truly special moments for passionate fans who are interested in musicians’ personal stories beyond the music. The audience can experience the performance, colored with musical interludes, in a special “stage-free”, intimate atmosphere, thus ensuring an intimate, direct and one-off experience. On the series’ fifth occasion the two members of Csaknekedkislány, singer Csepella Olivér and Konsiczky Dávid guitarist, are the guests. They illuminate the evening’s theme like this: “this is the Csaknekedtwoguys, that is Konsi and Olcsi from the band Csaknekedkislány. In a smaller formation, but they play and speak with huge heart, as always. A little beat, a little charm, and countless stories that only this duo can tell in this way.”
Csaknekedkislány formed in the early 2010s and began writing songs and performing under the influence of the beat era and the Hungarian underground of the 1980s. Their first album, the 2015 Na Ná Ba Bám, already enjoyed a serious underground status, which was greatly boosted when the video for their song Tihany won the Video of the Year award at the 2016 Magyar Klipszemle – from then on their recognition grew ever wider. Since their next two studio albums (Kobraszív - 2020, CSNK - 2022) and the 2024 release with Anna Szalai (CsakNEONkislány), they have been among the country’s most popular bands. Their newest album was released in autumn 2025 under the title MOST. The lyricist-frontman Csepella Olivér’s comic, the 2013-published Nyugat+Zombik, is also a significant work.
