A Christmas, festive concert with lots of extras, book launches, film screenings, exhibitions, and audience meet-and-greets will be hosted by the twenty-year-old Anna and the Barbies at the House of Music. Acoustic moods, intimacy, and a full evening program. On Friday, December 13, Anna and the Barbies will conclude their twentieth birthday year and the year 2024 with special concerts and a series of events at the House of Hungarian Music on this unusual day. In the words of Anna Pásztor: “We want to wrap up this year at the House of Music with a fairy-tale, magical evening. We always have Christmas concerts that we tune in for from the rehearsal room or from home, and we thought this year we’d do it from this wonderful elf house, with the lit trees and the beautiful architecture of the House of Music. We want a real celebration where people can wear their best clothes, proudly showcase grandma’s jewels, wear a small or larger hat, a veil over their eyes, a little clutch, or a slightly musty tuxedo. It’s going to be a mulled wine-filled, hopefully snow-blanketed acoustic concert where we can don the celebrations of old times in this turbulent 21st century. We want to invite people to a fairy-tale, beautiful, slowed-down Christmas event, where, besides the concert, we’re thinking of all sorts of surprises...”
