IN PARI is a series in which music is paired with different art forms, equally, as the title of the series suggests. This time, the evening is about the connection between music and lyrics. The texts of Ádám Bodor, a Kossuth Prize-winning prose writer who rarely makes public appearances, are paired with the music of drummer Áron Porteleki and cellist Albert Márkos. The texts are read by actor Rémusz Szikszai. After the performance, writer and poet Orsolya Láng will talk to Ádám Bodor, who will also answer questions from the audience at the end.
As is customary in the IN PARI series, the performers will improvise and react to each other's performances. The dramaturgy of the evening is shaped by the back-and-forth effect, and by the end of the production, we will have the impression that the genres were on equal footing, rather than in a subordinate relationship.
