DOME_REPLAY Klári Katona: Closeness

Katona Klári’s production *Closeness* is a genuine interdisciplinary work of art.
The musical collaborators on her writings, set to music and performed by Katona Klári herself, are Gőz László, Fekete-Kovács Kornél and Emil Gherasim. The visual world is based on the ideas of Goda Gábor and his visual co-creators, Hajdu Gáspár and Lukács Mihály. In the Hangdóm’s extraordinary space, the unity created by the artists, experienced in three dimensions, transports us to a world unlike any other. At this DOME_REPLAY event, we will not only see and hear the interdisciplinary work *Closeness*; Katona Klári will also be there in person, allowing us to experience the work in a truly intimate encounter with its creator. After the screening, the audience will have the opportunity to ask Katona Klári questions and talk with her.
Katona Klári’s sensitive writings are the foundation of the collaborative work that has gone into this interdisciplinary production. Her own interpretation opens up her literary world to us even further. Created for the Hangdóm, the work takes us across genres to discover true closeness. The ideas expressed in *I Live*, *Differently*, *Sentence*, *Love*, *Blessed Be the Man*, *Life Together*, *Question*, *The Attractions of Our Repulsions*, *Embrace* and *I Know*—their intimate, direct message, the emotional pulse and silences of the music, and the emphasis each lends to the others in the minimalist, refined visual world—come together to form a new whole.
Together with her collaborators, Katona Klári invites us to discover how life can be lived, to notice our feelings, the relationship between men and women, the importance of paying attention to one another, and the true richness of our world.
This is not a lesson, but a process of experience. Those who enter the Hangdóm can become part of it through their presence, attention and perception as they step into the inner space created by the artists.
“What draws close to us each day may be what carries us the greatest distances away from one another. It is as though we fear losing ourselves in drawing near. But true closeness is different.
It is longed for and welcoming.
It is a state of trust that offers richness through experience,” she says.
The work, shaped from three elements into a whole, is created in this spirit.
