The Anima Sound System and the Prieger Zsolt Ensemble present: „Winds Falling from Our Hearts" – Attila József, beyond 120 years, a performance-concert-book launch.
Zsolt Prieger, leader of Anima Sound System, writer, producer and performer, has already delighted audiences with nearly twenty special musical-literary evenings. He first staged his latest piece, compiled from the oeuvre of Attila József, together with actress Katica Nagy, the female lead of the film Semmelweis. Now the performance will be developed in an ensemble format, in the company of pianist László Borbély, actress Franciska Törőcsik, and classical singer Bernadett Nagy, and beyond electronics, blues and world music elements, the show also pays tribute to the great composer on his 100th birthday by incorporating several works by Kurtág. The performance focuses on the inspiring, activist, energetic poet and thinker, radically breaking with the decades-long portrayal of Attila József as solely sad and depressive. To amplify the impact, Zsolt Prieger's book My Year with Attila József will also be presented on site that day: the book offers an elemental JA-quote for every day of the year.
