Become a pop choir member for an evening and experience the liberating power of multi-part singing!
The LokálVokál is a unique community choir experience that started in 2022. No prior musical training or preparation is needed to participate – just bring the voice you usually sing with in the shower!
At the end of the entertaining learning process, a popular song will be performed in three parts by a choir formed from the participants. On stage, Eszter Jakobicz, the singer-choir leader, will effortlessly transform participants with varying levels of singing skills into a legendary choir in just one evening!
The two-hour, band-accompanied show gives those who love to sing the opportunity to do so in a community setting yet informally. For every event, a new three-part arrangement is prepared, and the chosen song is a surprise for the participants, as the focus of LokálVokál is not the song itself but the experience of singing together accompanied by a band.
On December 16th, the undyingly popular Last Christmas will be the main feature of the evening — yes, that song everyone knows, that everyone tries to escape from... yet secretly adores! This evening is the triumph of cognitive dissonance: we simultaneously flee from this song while happily singing it, and somehow, we're still not tired of it – no matter how many times we've heard it over countless Christmases. But on this evening, we're preparing for something special: we won't just listen to it, but we'll learn it and sing it together – in three parts, from hundreds of voices!
